1.       Lvl 1: Alternating Maces

-          Attacker:  Side Shoulder grab

-          Defender: Step out with left foot while folding for an outside block.  Pull into cat stance and perform an outside block, clearing the attacker’s arm.  Bring feet together and drop your weight, deliverin g a low punch to the groin. 

-          Attacker:  hooking punch

-          Defender: switch hands delivering another low strike to the groin, while blocking the incoming punch.  Switch hands once more executing a back fist strike to the bridge of the nose.

Lvl 2: Water Pump

-          Attacker: wrist grab from a clinch

-          Defender: Execute a low punch, bring feet together and dropping weight into the strike.  Regrab opponents wrist, turning their arm into a figure four postion.  Align your elbow underneath the attacker’s elbow.    Wrench the shoulder by pulling down on the attackers fist. 

 

2.       Lvl 1:  Spinning Hammer

-          Attacker:  Arm Bar, from an elbow down “spearhand” position

-          Defender:  As the attacker rolls the right arm over, pivot both feet to the left.  Bend the arm, placing it on the small of your back.  Step the Left foot behind the right and pivot both feet into a side stance, while simultaneously executing a left hammer fist strike to the opponent’s head.

       Lvl 2:  Spinning Melon

-          Attacker: Grab the defender’s left arm while in a reinforced outside block position.

-             Defender:  re-grab the opponent’s right arm with your left hand, while simultaneously delivering a right stepping horizontal palm strike to the chin.  Wrap the arm around the neck as you step behind the attacker’s legs, spin and drop attacker.   

 

3.       Lvl 1: Crescent Wings

-          Attacker: Front Bear Hug

-          Defender: Press down on attacker’s elbows with fists.  Deliver a right inside crescent kick to the back of the attacker’s knee, causing the leg to buckle.  Execute a right elbow strike to the head, followed by a right back knuckle strike to the face.  

 

Lvl 2: Spreading wings

-          Attacker:   Left hand cross grab

-          Defender:  Re-grab the attacker’s wrist with your left hand.  Trap the attacker’s hand to your hip (“superman” position).  Right inside crescent kick to the back of the leg, buckling the knee.  Keeping hold of the opponent’s hand, deliver an elbow strike/ back knuckle combination.  Brace the attacker’s elbow against your body, creating an armbar while striking the face.

 

4.       Lvl 1: Elbows of Fury

-          Attacker: Rear two hand choke

-          Defender: Stepping behind with the left foot, deliver a left spinning elbow strike to the face, followed by a right cross elbow strike.  Next, slide to the right delivering a right elbow strike, followed by a left cross elbow strike

(Note: Depending on the height/range of the attacker, the elbow strikes can easily be replaced with hooking punches.)

 

Lvl 2: Bending the Coconut Tree

-          Attacker: Full Nelson

-          Defender: ?
